3. Personal data we collect
Information you provide
When you email or otherwise contact us, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, organisation, and any information you include in your message. If you choose to provide information about another person, you should have authority to do so.
Website and technical information
Our website host and security providers may automatically record limited technical information needed to deliver and protect the website. This can include an Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser and device type, operating system, requested pages, referring page, and the date and time of a request.
Information we do not currently collect through this website
As of the date of this notice, the website does not process payments, accept programme applications, create user accounts, or submit information entered into the displayed contact form. Please do not send payment-card information, medical information, or other sensitive personal data through a general enquiry.
4. How and why we use personal data
We may use personal data to:
- provide, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the website;
- respond to enquiries and communicate with you;
- keep appropriate administrative and correspondence records;
- understand website performance using technical or aggregated information;
- establish, exercise, or defend legal rights; and
- meet legal, regulatory, safeguarding, and reporting obligations.
Depending on the activity, our processing may be necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the Foundation, to take steps at your request, to comply with a legal obligation, or because you have given consent. Where consent is the relevant condition, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
5. When we share personal data
We may share personal data only where reasonably necessary with:
- service providers that support website hosting, security, email, and information technology;
- professional advisers, including legal, audit, insurance, and compliance advisers;
- regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies, or other authorities where required or permitted by law; and
- another organisation where necessary to protect a person’s vital interests or the Foundation’s legal rights.
We require service providers to protect personal data and use it only for authorised purposes. We do not sell or rent personal data and do not share it with third parties for their own direct marketing.
6. Processing outside the Cayman Islands
Some website, email, or technology providers may process personal data outside the Cayman Islands. For example, this website currently requests font files from Google when a page loads, which means ordinary connection information such as an IP address may be transmitted to Google.
Where the DPA applies to an international transfer, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the information receives an adequate level of protection or that another lawful transfer condition applies.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
As of the date of this notice, this website does not intentionally set first-party cookies and does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or website analytics. The website does load fonts from Google, as described above.
If we later introduce cookies or similar technologies, we will update this notice, explain their purposes and durations, and provide consent controls where required.
8. How long we keep personal data
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to respond to an enquiry, maintain appropriate organisational records, meet legal or regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary according to the nature and sensitivity of the information and any applicable legal requirements.
When information is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymise it where reasonably practicable.
9. How we protect personal data
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or access. No website, email, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please take care when deciding what to send electronically.
10. Children and young people
The Foundation’s mission and programmes may benefit children and young people, but this public website does not currently accept programme applications or knowingly collect children’s personal data through an online service.
When a future programme requires information about a child or young person, we will provide clear information at the point of collection, collect only what is needed, and use appropriate parent, guardian, and safeguarding procedures. Children and young people should ask a parent or guardian for help before sending personal data through our general contact channels.
11. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and subject to the DPA, you may have the right to:
- be informed about how your personal data is used;
- request access to personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate personal data;
- ask us to stop or restrict certain processing;
